Sperm cells are highly specialized cells with intricate structural organizations that are often impossible to resolve with conventional fluorescence microscopy.

Sang-Hee Shim, Korea University, and Jean-Ju Chung, Yale University, will introduce standard and upcoming 3D super-resolution microscopes based on single-molecule localization and presents how its application has uncovered nanometer-scale organizations of molecules in sperm cells.

Christelle Rosazza, Andor Technology, will also provide technical information relating to EMCCD & sCMOS technology and their suitability for the application of cell motility.
