■        TITLE
Protein’s structural characteristics studies with a mechanical engineering perspective; sharing simulation research experiences  

■     ABSTRACT
 Understanding protein’s structural characteristics, such as maintenance or transformation, is essential to achieve basic information for comprehending effects and functions of protein and for utilizing it. In this seminar, based on the previous works in simulation researches of various protein based materials, I’d like to share the experiences on how to predict the structural stability of protein materials in simulation studies from a mechanical engineering perspective, and to identify properties related to deformation and aggregation. Representative studies on the structural characteristics of proteins such as amyloid, silk, and enzyme proteins, as well as my recent research results, will be introduced, and discussions on complementary studies related to the experiment will be conducted.
