Feedback of time-gated reflection signals for enhancement of light energy delivery to the deeply embedded target

In highly scattering medium such as biological environments, the light waves get diffused in
both space and time, and only a little amount of initial light energy can deliver to the target
object. As a consequence, optical methodologies have been effective only to the shallow
layers, and their effect decreases with depth of the target. Here, we present a method to
improve the intensity of delivering light to the deeply embedded target with the time-gated
iterative feedback algorithm.
